Starbucks for 100 calories or less

I don't know about you, but I need my caffeine fix to get me through the day. The following beverages are under 100 calories for a tall (12 oz) according to the Starbucks web site.

Brewed Drinks
All brewed coffees plain black and teas are 5 calories or less. When you start adding in the sweeteners and milk, that is when the calories add up. Other brewed drinks that are under 100 calories per 12 oz. are:
 Nonfat Cappuccino (60)
Nonfat Caffè Latte (100)
Skinny Vanilla Latte (100)
Caffè Americano (10)

Cold Drinks
Caramel Frappuccino® Light Blended Coffee (100)
 Shaken Tazo® Iced Passion® Tea (unsweetened) (0)
Shaken Tazo® Iced Black Tea Lemonade (100)
Iced Coffee (with classic syrup) (60)
 Iced Skinny Latte (70)
It also looks like all of the Refreshers line come in under 100.

If you are looking for a snack to accompany your beverage, the only thing that on the regular Starbucks menu that falls under 100 is the Seasonal Harvest Fruit Blend, which comes in at 90 calories.

At present, I cannot find an official Starbucks source information for the flavoring syrups or milk add ins. Obviously if you are trying to cut calories, the non-fat option will be your best bet. If you have a link to this info I will be happy to update this post with any new information. Starbucks does modify their menu fairly often.

TRICK OR TREAT?  McDonald's Frozen Strawberry Lemonade

It's summer.  It's hot.  What is better than a nice frozen beverage?  But is it worth the calories?

The new McDonald's Frozen Strawberry Lemonade is fat free, but it still sports a whopping  270 calories for the SMALL!  That is 12 oz.  Extrapolating the other sizes, I calculated:

Small (12 oz) McDonald's Frozen Strawberry Lemonade is 270 calories!
Medium (16 oz) McDonald's Frozen Strawberry Lemonade is 360 calories!!
Large ( 20 oz)  McDonald's Frozen Strawberry Lemonade is 450 calories!!!  EEK!!!

So if you are watching calories you might want to bypass McDonald's. A low calorie option would be the Sonic Diet Cherry Limeade.  A Route 44 ( and I can't drink 44 oz) is only 26 calories.
